Results of the early systematic studies on kinetics and mechanism of oxidation of derivants of ferrocene by oxygen and hydrogen peroxide are given in the present collection. Feature of these processes is direct participation in it of the functional groups of deputies in Cp-ligand. Distinctions in properties of deputies cause variety of ways of primary coordination of reagents among themselves and as a result variety of mechanisms of reaction behavior in general. The radical chain mechanism is characteristic of processes of autoxidation. Reactions of metalcomplexes with hydrogen peroxide are followed by hydroxylation of all derivants of ferrocene. The nature of solvent influences not only process speed but also structure of termination products of reaction that is especially essential at ferrocenylboric acid oxidation. Also data on oxidation of bis-arene and bis-cyclopentadienyl complexes of the transitional metals of 3D and 4D-row which emphasize essential differences in mechanisms of oxidation of the last and derivants of ferrocene are provided. The book can be interesting to all researchers working in the field of chemistry of organometallic compounds of the transitional metals.
