La bouche est très développée. Sur le plus grand exemplaire conservé, elle dépasse 35 millimètres de long. Ses bords en forme de bourrelets sont musculeux, ondulés, et permettent vraisemblablement une protraction accentuée et une très facile dilatation. Elle commence immédiatement en arrière des fentes céphaliques, et même la commissure antérieure doit pouvoir, chez le vivant, s'avancer presque jusqu'à la pointe de la tête.
