Music is an abstract force that flows through the heart of the World, for most people, an essential ingredient creating a soundtrack to their lives, but even more than that, bringing peace, meaning, harmony, to a sometimes fractious existence.
Yet music also causes great conflict; each person carries a belief that 'their' music is the standard by which everything should be judged, no-one else's music has that strength, that vitality, that meaning - wrong, of course, but therein lies the paradox.
