Convergence of SADC on economic integration policy Economic integration has been recognized since time immemorial as a powerful lever for the integral development of regional economic communities. The aim of this book is to analyze the impact of the economic integration policy of the Economic Community of Southern Africa on the convergence of the welfare of the members of the said community. Generally, the results of the analysis reveal that the application of SADC's economic integration policy does indeed have a positive effect on the improvement of the living conditions of its various member populations. It should be noted that the level of improvement of the conditions of the populations is not homogeneous. The reduction of welfare gaps among the intra-SADC population requires, among other things, significant structural changes in their economies through agrarian and institutional reforms.
