A comprehensive note on application of in vitro reproductive technology in Nili Ravi buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) oocytes. By this technology scientists are now to get large number of matured oocytes as well as buffalo embryos after fertlization in the laboratory. In this Study effect of an antioxidant melatonin has been evaluated on in vitro maturation and fertilization of oocytes and it was observed that melatonin in small quantities is effective in increasing the maturation and fertilization rates of buffalo oocytes.
