About the author










Martin Dibelius (1883-1947) was Professor of New Testament at the University of Heidelberg, Germany, and one of the most important biblical scholars of the twentieth century. Among his many publications in English are From Tradition to Gospel (1934), The Sermon on the Mount (1940), Paul (1953), and The Pastoral Epistles (Hermeneia; Fortress Press, 1972).
