"Why show me this, if I am past all hope!"
It's Christmas Eve and the snowy streets are full of good cheer. But this magic is "Bah! Humbug!" to Ebenezer Scrooge. He's a miserable old skinflint. Nobody loves him - and he cares not one jot.
That night, Marley's Ghost appears in Scrooge's mean home. He says Scrooge must go with him on a strange journey haunted by three Ghosts ... of Christmas Past, Present and Yet To Come.
Can the spirits awaken joy in Scrooge's frozen heart?
Dickens' beloved seasonal classic in a format more readers can access and enjoy.

Charles Dickens was born in 1812 and grew up in poverty. This experience influenced ‘Oliver Twist’, the second of his fourteen major novels, which first appeared in 1837. When he died in 1870, he was buried in Poets’ Corner in Westminster Abbey as an indication of his huge popularity as a novelist, which endures to this day.
