About the author

Maxwell E. Johnson is Professor of Liturgical Studies at the University of Notre Dame, Indiana. He is co-author with Paul F. Bradshaw of The Origins of Feasts, Fasts and Seasons in Early Christianity (2011) and editor of Document of Baptismal Liturgy (2003, both SPCK).
