About the author

The Federation of Children's Book Groups is an amazing organisation. For over thirty years they have worked to bring stories to children all over the country. The organisation receives no government support. All the work is done by members who receive no payment. They do this voluntary work because they believe children need books.

Pat Thomson, who compiled the anthology, was one of the founder members of the Federation of Children's Book Groups.
