About the author

Joseph Torelli has worked in the broadcast news business for over thirty years, first as editor and cameraman for NBC News and later as Chief Editor-Broadcast at Avid Technology. He received the prestigious J. Winton Lemen Fellowship Award from the National Press Photographers Association for his outstanding work in the development of non-linear video editing systems for TV news operations and his commitment to the NPPA, photojournalists, and photojournalism. He currently oversees the implementation of Apple server-based production tools by major broadcasters and studios.
