About the author

Dr Syed Wamique Yusuf is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He qualified from Dow Medical College, Karachi and pursued his Internal Medicine training in the United Kingdom, followed by a cardiology fellowship at the University of Texas, Houston. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and also a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (ACC). He is heavily involved in the undergraduate and post-graduate education and training.  He also serves as the Program Co-Director for the annual ACC Cardiovascular Board Review. His clinical and research interests includes management of cardiovascular diseases in patients with cancer and radiation induced cardiotoxicity.
 
Dr. Jose Banchs is an Associate Professor of Medicine and is the Director of Echocardiography laboratory at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.  His practice over the past decade has been dedicated exclusivelyto patients with cancer and in the investigation of potential cardiac pathology in these patients.
He leads a large volume clinical echocardiography laboratory with extensive experience in the use and application of three dimensional echocardiography, contrast echocardiography and cardiac mechanics imaging using speckle tracking in the daily workflow and clinical practice. His research interests involve study of protocols focused on advancing ultrasound imaging.
