Remote sensing played an important role in the geological studies; we can collection and interpretation of information about an object without physical contact with the object. The book was built in the easy way to the researchers, students and interested. It begins with the satellite images, their processes and finished with the extraction of lineament. This book concentrated on the lineament because it's the key of the geology and it reflects the geological structure. A lineament is a linear feature in a landscape which is an expression of an underlying geological structure such as a fault, fracture zones, shear zones and igneous intrusions such as dykes can also give rise to lineaments.

About the author










Ph.D. student in remote sensing and geographic information systems, Master in geographic information system and management planning, Faculty of sciences, Casablanca, Morocco. BSc in geology, Faculty of Sciences, University Sana'a, Yemen. Worked in the Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Board, Sana'a, Yemen.
