This book "Recommended Practices of Peanut: Sustainable Agriculture Production" has written for describing the role of peanut in agriculture production and significant contribution in Indian Economy. Peanut, also known as Groundnut (Arachis hypogaea), is a crop of global importance. It is classified as legume and an oil crop because of its high oil content. Oilseed crops occupy an important position in the farming system of India. The availability of edible oil in the country is 12 gram per head per day as against a minimum requirement of 18 gram per head per day as recommended by Food and Agriculture Organization. It is needs to enhance the peanut production with best management practices. Peanut is similar in taste and nutritional profile to tree nuts such as walnuts and almonds, and are often served in similar ways in Western cuisines. The Churu district of Rajasthan is located in the arid region of India and contributed remarkable production in India. Pankaj Barotia obtained B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons¿) from SKRAU, Bikaner; M. Sc. in Agriculture Extension from Maharana Partap University of Agriculture And Technology, Udaipur in 2010. In 2016, he obtained Doctorate of Philosophy in agriculture extension education from Om Parkash Jogender Singh University, Churu, Rajasthan, India.
