The office of Matrimony, again, is one in which the Minister of Christ possesses the high privilege of pronouncing a solemn blessing upon one of the most sacred of institutions nay where he stands in a peculiar manner as the representative of Christ Jesus. Those who act for Him and by his appoint ment appear in a peculiarly high office, as signifying and pointing out in each instance the mystical union of the divine Bridegroom with the Church.
