About the author

Samantha Bennett is Associate Professor of Music at the Australian National University. She holds editorial roles with Perfect Beat (Equinox) and The Journal on the Art of Record Production. She is the author of the upcoming book Siouxsie and the Banshees' Peepshow (2018), part of Bloomsbury's 33 1/3 series, and co-editor of Critical Approaches to the Production of Music and Sound (2017)Eliot Bates is a Lecturer in Ethnomusicology and Popular Music Studies at the University of Birmingham, UK. He is the author of Music in Turkey: Experiencing Music, Expressing Culture (2011) and Digital Tradition: Arrangement and Labor in Istanbul’s Recording Studio Culture (2016).
