Son visage fatigué, dit un témoin, porte l'em preinte des chagrins et de l'inquiétude, les larmes semblent y avoir tracé de profonds sil lons, son regard est plus voilé encore que d'habi tude sa démarche dénote l'affaissement moral qui l accable; dans son entourage, on voit la tris tesse sur tous les visages, la désillusion dans toutes les pensées (l).
