Je désigne les molaires par leur numéro d'ordre de 4 A 7, supposant les series toujours completes. Les sept molaires des marsupiaux sont parfaitement homologues des sept molai res des placentaires, et celle - ci est la seule méthode qui permet l etude comparée de la denture de ces animaux, que c'est bien a tort que dans les classiñcations, on persiste les séparer par un abíme.
