Knowledge and importance of health related fitness makes it an important public health issue especially in tribal population of India who are somewhat deprived of medical facilities and their socio economic status is also poor. No systematic and scientific inquiry have been made to study the health related fitness of school going tribal children. The present research has been carried out with an objective to assess health related fitness of tribal boys and girls of Gond, Halba, Kamar and Oreon ethnic tribes who are residing in the State of Chhattisgarh ranging in age from 10-15 years.
