Aliyu Abdulkadir est originaire de Lere, dans l'État de Kaduna, au Nigeria. Il a obtenu ses premier, deuxième et troisième diplômes en bibliothéconomie et sciences de l'information au département de bibliothéconomie et sciences de l'information de la faculté d'éducation de l'université Ahmadu Bello (ABU), à Zaria.
