This is because they either belong to a traditional or local community that has traditional knowledge or are individual users. Women were also singled out as the majority of the users and custodians of traditional knowledge. It also established that traditional knowledge contributes financially to many households through its sale.

Mr. Gabriel Muzah (Zimbabwe) is an intellectual property lecturer at Africa University's College of Business, Peace, Leadership and Governance in Mutare, Zimbabwe. He is a Fellow of the International Centre for Human Development (IC4HD) at the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies, Shimla, India where he contributes on IP and Human Development.
