On remarquera que dans cette Exposition le raisonne ment se fait constamment sur la ligne elle - méme, jamais sur un polygone qui se confond avec elle a la limite. De même pour les surfaces on démontre sur la surface même, et non point sur un polyèdre qui finit par coïncider avec elle. Et s'il est quelquefois fait usage de ce polyèdre, ce n'est jamais que pour rendre plus sensibles des theo remes déjà établis.
