Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium Tuberculosis bacteria (MTB). Typically it attacks the lung, but also can be found in other body organs such as kidney, spine and brain. This is a serious problem of the world in human health and millions died of this disease. So researchers studied Tuberculosis transmission using modelling approach. The first model for the transmission dynamics of Tuberculosis was the Susceptible - Exposed - Infected (SEI)model. To save people from this disease WHO recommended that the BCG vaccination should be given to newborns or children. This book therefore provides an extended Tuberculosis transmission dynamics in five epidemiology classes that are Susceptible - Vaccinated - Exposed - Infected - Recovered (SVEIR) model and using mathematical analysis it shows the effectiveness of vaccination to overcome the spread of the disease.
