Dr. Clancy holds degrees from Purdue University (PhD), the Katholieke Universiteit, Leuven (MA), and Fordham University (BA). Klappentext Global Engineering Ethics introduces the fundamental themes of ethics in a context specific to engineering, but not to a nation or culture. Numerous case studies from around the world help the reader clearly see their relevance to design, safety and professionalism for engineers. Engineering is increasingly taking place in a global context, with industrial and research teams operating across national and cultural boundaries. This adds a layer of complexity to ethical issues, which are already challenging due to the tensions between economic and safety priorities. This book is essential reading for anyone wanting to understand or communicate the ethics of engineering, particularly in an international environment. Inhaltsverzeichnis 1.
