Most of the vibrations are due to operation of machines such as reciprocating, rotary-types and hammer machines. The dynamic responses are represented as displacement and resonant frequency under certain loads. The foundation vibration caused by reciprocating machines can be analyzed using the principle of harmonic motion. The present study deals with dynamic responses and resonance conditions of piled machine foundations subjected to harmonic dynamic loads. The foundations on uniform dry sand were represented experimentally and also numerically using the finite element method (FEM)
