Art. 2. L'objet de la Société est de concourir à l'avancement de°la Géologie en général et particulièrement de faire connaître le sol de la France, tant en lui -même que dans ses rapports avec les arts industriels et l'agriculture.
Art. 3. Le nombre des membres de la Société est illimité. Les Fran cais et les étrangers peuvent également en faire partie. Il' n'existe aucune distinction entre les membres.
