After the fall of Suddam dictator regime in 2003, there were attempts by Iraqi Political Power, USA and International Community to establish a democratic system in Iraq. however due to many obstacles the task was difficult and faced a lot of challenges, the most important one is the ethnicity problem in Iraq where the different point of view and historical legacy create mistrust between Shia , Sunni and Kurd. In addition the terrorism that hit Iraq with claim of fighting occupation power makes the process more complex. Finally regional politics factor has some effect on democratization process. Nevertheless there were great achievements by Iraqis in the way of democracy as writing permanent constitution, forming governments based on sharing power principle and so on, in this work I analysis the obstacles and the achievements in the earlier years after 2003 which form the base for the new political system in Iraq. I think this work give very useful information for people who interested in Iraqi Politics especially after 2003 war.
