This book presents an indoor acoustic simulator for ultrasonic signals using a hybrid method based on the virtual sources method with ray tracing validation. The simulator takes into account the multiple reflections produced by the walls and other obstacles, the beam pattern of the transducers and the acoustic wave propagation losses. We have also included the possibility of simulating the Doppler effect for any type of movement. The proposed simulator is very accurate, turning it into a valuable tool to study the propagation of ultrasonic signals in closed spaces under controlled conditions. The simulator was implemented using the Matlab software and is freely available online to the user at http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/61364.
