Traditional Cookbooks are the Worst!

The truth is, most cookbooks aren't written with YOU in mind. Traditional cookbooks are written to boost sales, not to show you how to get the recipe right...

Have you ever felt like no matter how many recipes you try, none of them turn out like the pictures?

Do you own around fifty cookbooks of "easy recipes," but have GIVEN UP on every one of them, because rather than showing off your baking skills, you end up on a "Pinterest Fails" blog instead?

When you read a recipe, do you sometimes feel like it's written in a foreign language because you've never even heard of some of the words?

Sweet & Simplified: 33 Delicious Desserts & How to Bake Them will show you that baking doesn't have to be painfully difficult and frustrating.

Everyone should be able to bake delicious and truly impressive desserts, without wanting to pull their hair out.

Just because you've never creamed butter and sugar before, doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to make mouth-watering desserts.

You shouldn't want to throw your cookbook against the wall, because you can't figure out how anyone makes it look so easy.

Make Baking Fun Again!

Sweet & Simplified: 33 Delicious Desserts & How to Bake Them eliminates the frustrations caused by other cookbooks by taking what many find to be intimidating recipes, and breaking them down into steps so easy-to-follow, anyone can make them.

This collection of dessert blueprints is filled with tested and perfected recipes that every baker can confidently create - regardless of your skill level or previous baking history. It was designed specifically to provide you with:

meticulously detailed, step-by-step instructions to guide you through each process, written to ensure you can successfully replicate the recipes

easy to find ingredients, if you don't already have them on hand, found at any local grocery store or farmer's market

a photo(s) accompanying every recipe, so you can see for yourself what the picture-perfect, end-result should look like

tips, fun facts, substitutions, and serving suggestions to help you more easily achieve truly impressive results

Everything you need to get picture-perfect desserts, each and every time, is right here in this book. I promise, if you follow the recipe guides I've created for you, baking will stop being frustrating, and start being fun.

About the author

After panic attacks and stress left her hopelessly looking for answers, Victoria knew she had to make a big change in her life, and find a way to rid herself of anxiety and depression. On a leap of faith, she left her corporate management job to take on a much smaller role, allowing her to focus on the things that brought her joy and tranquility, and to truly focus on mental health. One of those things was baking.

Baking since the age of 9, Victoria has always loved spending time in the kitchen, but with a bachelor's degree in Spanish and years of retail management experience, her background was anything but culinary. The foodie in her knew she had a real talent, but she thought baking would never be more than a hobby.

Victoria began to use her creativity in the kitchen as a side project. A hobby of cake decoration for coworkers and neighbors soon morphed into taking custom orders for themed cakes. She now hosts weekly game nights, during which, parties of up to 15 guests can sample new recipes. You can even have a shower or small party catered by Victoria, featuring some of her fan-favorites, including Cream Puffs and White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake.

With the dream of one day owning a bakery, Victoria went on to study business, earning her MBA from the University of South Carolina in 2015. Since the creation of her new company, Little Black Apron, Inc. in 2016, Victoria now has the privilege of calling cooking & baking her full-time job.

When she isn't playing chef, you'll most likely find her reading Harry Potter, dancing, sharing a glass of wine with friends, playing board games, or spending time with her fiancé, James, and their 4 fur-babies.
