The students in attendance were persons of all ages and stations. A prescribed course of study, leading to a formal graduation, was unknown. One's whole life was devoted to the pursuit of knowledge. In order to give everybody the Opportunity of availing himself of the instruction furnished, the regular admission fee, asked at first, was afterwards discontinued.
