Hugo von Tschudi hat dem Maler neuerdings eine umfassende Studie gewidmet, in welcher die verwandten Gemälde einer feinsinnigen Analyse unter zogen Im Anschluss an diese vortreffliche Darlegung sei es mir vergönnt, hier einiges von meinen Bemühungen zu berichten, obwohl ich zu einem wesentlich abweichenden Endresultat gelangte.
