Suzanna Haddow a fait ses études à l'université de Manchester (licence et maîtrise en archéologie). Elle a étudié l'utilisation des chevaux dans la guerre au sein de l'empire assyrien. Son mémoire de maîtrise porte sur la découverte de l'évolution de la domestication au Proche-Orient.
