Recently, much attention has been focused on the actinomycetes as sources of novel, bioactive compounds. The application of biochemical and molecular biological techniques to microbial systematics has provided insights that have drastically altered traditional taxonomic concepts. This book "Bioprospecting of Actinomycetes and its approaches" reviews the current research going in the field of Actinomycetes diversity, their novel compound and their use. The book will be a valuable reference to all those who work with actinomycetes and try to unravel their nature. This book will grab interest of scientists, students and other professionals who have curiosity in the field of identification and functional characterization of novel compounds from Actinomycetes. Dr. Kiranjeet Kaur is working as Associate Professor at Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus, Ferozepur(Pb)India. She has seventeen years of teaching experience in the Department of Applied Sciences & Humanities. She has done MBA with specialization in Human Resource Management. She has also done PhD from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
