Superstores are very popular now-a-days as consumers have choices ,all the things are available at a same place and moreover have discount on purchasing. There are different categories in the job profile of the superstore workers. Many sales persons have to suffer from different postural problems because they have to work in awkward posture, carry excessive load, work 8-9 hours in a day.The present study throws light on the ergonomic risk factors of the superstore workers. This study was conducted in the Anand/V.V.Nagar to know about the type of postures adopted by the superstore workers while working. This study was divided in five phases which involved collection of basic information about the superstore in Anand, Observation, development of questionnaire and data collection, analysis and guidelines for intervention. A questionnaire was developed which includes background information of the respondents, types of posture adopted by the respondents while working in the superstore, different pain areas, and fatigue level. As per the convenience of the worker we collected data and that data was analyzed by the use of REBA and OWAS ergonomic technique of risk assessment.
