Viktrorija Tokarjewa, geb. 1937 in St. Petersburg, arbeitete kurze Zeit als Klavierlehrerin, bevor sie nach Moskau ging, um an der Filmhochschule das Drehbuchschreiben zu lernen. Seit 1964 ist sie Schriftstellerin. Sie lebt heute meist auf ihrer Datscha bei Moskau.
