Changes and developments in many sectors, areas and branches of economy occur in the global world constantly. One of these branches is tourism, the enlargement of which influences other areas of economy due to tourism multiplier effect. Therefore, it is of high necessity to analyze the global tourism market, demand and supply of services and, founded on the own touristic assets, to be perfectly positioned in international tourism market and to promote tourism products. Gayane Rubik Tovmasyan is PhD in Economics, Professor at the Chair of Tourism and Crisis Management at Armenian State University of Economics. She is the author of more than thirty scientific articles in tourism sphere, co-author of two manuals for students ("Economics Theory" and "Management Basics").
