Breaking Bad is known for its grim and gritty outbursts of anger and violence. Gertrud Koch, geb. 1949, ist Professorin für Filmwissenschaft an der Ruhr-Universität Bochum. Sie ist an mehreren internationalen Zeitschriftenprojekten beteiligt und war vor 1999 am KWI Leiterin der Studiengruppen 'Demokratie, Öffentlichkeit, Medien' und 'Politische Theorie der Massenkultur'.
