Additional text

After struggling to find appropriate pieces that would engage her pupils and help their technical development, Liudmila [Neugasimova] commissioned her brother, Vitalij, to compose new and original piano pieces. The objective was to provide young pianists with fun, enjoyable, appealing and accessible material to play, which was at the same time educational, imaginative and rewarding. Vitalij got to work and composed pieces that have proved to be an instant hit with player and listener alike . . . All the pieces have great individual character and offer different challenges, as well as scope for development and enhancement of musical skills. The pieces are beautifully crafted, meeting the needs of teachers and students. This quality has been recognised by ABRSM who selected 'Lullaby' from book 1 for the Piano Exam Pieces 2015 & 2016 Grade 2.
