Massive star formation has remained an unsolved mystery of astronomy. The complexity of their natal environment, far distances and formation in clusters impede our understanding of their different evolutionary stages. In my work I have measured the accurate distances to high-mass stars using very long baseline interferometric techniques and used the obtained distances to constrain the physical parameters of massive stars. The gas motion around massive stars in the early formative stages is also important in understanding how they form. I have also presented fine details of the gas kinematics using the 3-D kinematics of the masers associated with the forming stars. I am convinced you would enjoy reading to these beautifully pieced details of formation of massive stars.
