As Web services proliferate during the last few years, the ability to find and bind to Web services of interest becomes a challenging task since service users have to devote an excessive amount of time searching independently a huge number of service resources for service information, and then differentiating between Web services that share similar characteristics to finally select the best suitable one. Furthermore, as service resources may overlap, that is, they may contain the same service information, may reveal inconsistency problems since this information is updated in one resource and not in the others. Therefore, the subsequent binding to Web services from the outdated service information may not be possible. To address the above challenge, we present in this book a dynamic synchronization model based on agent technology to focus on updating the service information over different service resources whenever new changes occur in this information.
