Je suis obligé de faire connaître aux_lecteurs que, vu l'immense quantité des matières formant ce Dic tionnaire et pour ne pas le rendre excessivement long j'ai toujours évité les répétitions, quoique plu sieurs n'eussent pas été toujours inutiles. La même raison m'a engagé à exposer les articles didactiques d'une manière succincte, d'autant plus qu'un ou vrage de ce genre n'étant sujet à aucune liaison, ne pouvait jamais offrir des traités spéciaux comme un livre méthodique.
