La musique vocale se nomme chant la musi que instrumentale se nomme orchestre ou sym phonie, quand elle est destinée à un orchestre complet, et harmonie, quand elle est écrite pour un orchestre militaire. On dirait dans ce théâtre le chant est mal dirigé, mais l'orchestre est eac cellent, et aucune harmonie de régiment ne pour rait lui être comparée. Le mot symphonie, dans le sens d'orchestre, a vieilli.
