Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) is one of the most common hereditary diseases affecting the kidneys in all races worldwide. The disease is characterized by age dependent cysts formation that results in chronic kidney failure. The current study was dealt with nine affected families with Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease in Najaf Province. These families consisted of 59 members (24 affected members with Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease and 35 their relatives). The study was on two main axes: molecular study and physiological study.
