Aquellos editores creen que Clavijero no hubiera dejado de hacer la última advertencia si hubiera podido levantar el mapa. Yo tambien me persuado que si hubiera publicado su Historia ahora que ya tenemos dos Californias, llama das una Alta 6 Nueva y la otra Antigua Baja, no habria dejado de añadir este segundo distintivo al titulo de su obra, y por tanto me he tomado la liber tad de añadírsele.
