Techno-economic Assessment of a Hybrid Solar-Wind Electrical System

The book presents a novel approach for optimization of a hybrid wind/solar grid connected power system. A step by step method is used to illustrate all related calculations. In addition a new program developed by the author to estimate all required data for optimization process of the hybrid system by simply entering the weather data and the initial data of the location. Both financial calculations and environmental impacts are considered as good tools for decision makers.

About the author

Mohamadi W. graduated from the Menoufia Uni, Egypt with a BSc in Electrical Engineering. His broad professional career started with South Delta Electricity distribution in Egypt. Thereafter, He worked with Tractebel Suez Engineering and different employers in Saudi Arabia. Walid is also a graduate of the MSc Renewable Energy, Edinburgh Napier, UK.
