About the author
John J. Miller, Ph.D., is a professor of Sport Management at Troy (AL) University. Miller has taught Legal Aspects of Sport, Research Methods in Sport Management, Sport Event Management, Sport Facilities Planning and Management, and Financial Aspects of Sport. Miller has served the Sport Recreation and Law Association (SRLA) as member at large, President, and conference host as well as the editor of the Journal of Legal Aspects of Sport. He has more than 50 peer-review publications and more than 100 national presentations, most dealing with legal issues in sport. He is a Research Fellow in SRLA, Research Consortium, and the North American Society of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, Sport and Dance Professionals.
