This book has as its main goal to explain the evolution and motivators, both economical and political, in granting official aid for development (ODA) by Japan to Latin American countries, in particular Brazil during the period enclosed between 1960 and 2001. The focus employed is the so-called "realistic", because it allows highlighting the characteristics of such policy, in accordance to each period studied. To such effect the case of Brazil was analyzed taking into consideration diplomatic relations between both countries and at the same time ODA funds granted Brazil by Japan in the same period.

About the author










Adolfo Alberto Laborde Carranco studied his doctoral in Political Sciences at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Currently is the Research Professor of the Bachelor in International Relation at TEC de Monterrey, Campus Santa Fe, Mexico.
