Hepatitis C is one of the major threats to the inhabitants of this Universe, causing great socio-economic disturbances. The overall frequency of hepatitis C is more in poor and/or less developed countries as compared to developed countries. The situation becomes even more worse in remote and less developed/accessed areas like some parts of Pakistan. As such Mansehra District in Pakistan is at high risk of this deadly virus; the hepatitis C virus. The common people are unaware of having hepatitis C virus, circulating in their bodies. Therefore this book provides an insight into the situation of hepatitis C in the general population of Mansehra; never diagnosed before. As much as 3.5% of the population of Mansehra have this virus in their bodies as revealed by RT-PCR assay, mostly affecting the people in the age group 51 years and above.
