Ransom Riggs es el autor de la novela El Hogar de Miss Peregrine para Niños Peculiares, número uno en la lista de libros más vendidos de The New York Times durante meses. Riggs nació en una granja de Maryland y creció en Florida. Estudió literatura en Kenyon College y cine en la Universidad del Sur de California.
