Malnutrition is always remain a problematic issue in the developing world. Likewise obesity is current public health issue in UK. The consequences of obesity is itself a problem to tackle. There are different health problems associated with it such as Diabetes, heart diseases. Today doctors and health practitioners are struggling to deal with obesity because it manifest itself in premature death and disability, in health care costs, in lost productivity. Several studies on obesity show that the risk of death increases with increasing weight. The impact of obesity on physical health is always discussed however, do we really know the impact of obesity on mental health ? Obesity is seen in different age groups. Do we Know how children are suffered psychologically due to their weight?

About the author










I studied Master in Public Health from University of East London. I am pursuing public health because it deals with populations, outbreaks, response in humanitarian crisis. Hence, theoretical knowledge in nursing and clinical experience from nursing made me enthusiastic to work in the in the community where I learn new things.
