Mungbean belongs to the family leguminosae is one of the important pulse crop in Bangladesh. It is a rich source of protein and several essential micro nutrients. Like other leguminous crop, the crop can fix atmospheric nitrogen and improve soil fertility and fits well in many cropping system because of its short maturity duration. About the author

Mousumi Sultana was born in Joypurhat of Bangladesh and studied Bachelor of Science (BSCAg) and MS in Agronomy from Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University. Then she joined in Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute and now working as a tuber scientist. Bulbul Ahmed is working a scientist of stress physiology in Bangladesh Agri.
